Here is a quick overview of who I am and my background as a 30+ year entrepreneur, business owner, sales & marketing executive, internet biz guy, and small business consultant…
Business Experience: 27 years in the process control industry as a business owner, entrepreneur and corporate executive. I started and grew a flowmeter manufacturing company that I eventually sold for millions of dollars to a $600 million public company back in 2000. I then served as a sales and marketing executive for the parent company.
Inventor: I have 7 patents in the flowmeter industry for highly specialized designs of flow metering and flow measurement devices for liquids and gases in many different industries.
Non-profit/Ministry: I was the Executive Director (5+ years) of one of the oldest (1994) and largest online ministries in the world (Bible.org) with many millions of users and millions of monthly pageviews with a website containing more than 60,000 pages of content. In addition, I was also the senior executive for the associated online publishing company where we mostly sold our products through internet channels.
Internet: I developed the websites for my process control businesses. Additionally, I oversaw the vision and the development of the Bible.org website through several major updates over the course of 5+ years and significantly expanded the user base to several million users. Those efforts produced millions of new page views per month and hundreds of thousands of dollars in new revenue.
Integrity: It is my lifelong goal and my commitment to be a man of integrity. While I am far from perfect, I strive to be very honest and honorable in everything I do (you have my permission to help hold be accountable to those standards and ideals).
Enough of the resume… here is my story to fill in the details and to help you understand why you might care about coming to this website often and listening to what I have to say.
I am a seasoned small business owner with 30+ years of experience in many aspects of business, finance, sales and marketing, and especially online businesses and internet marketing. There are many people in the internet marketing community today who want to tell you how to start and run an internet business (read that as… sell you their products). And not all of those marketers have your best interest in mind. While many may be successful in their own right, many are too young to know how to manage that success. Unfortunately, some in the internet marketing industry are using questionable business practices and ethics. That being said… fortunately, there are also a number of very good people in the industry who are worth listening to, following their advice, and buying their products. They really can help you start and grow your online business… the right way!
I believe I can probably help you in a couple of important ways if you follow my advice and take to heart what I share with you on this site. First, I have been building websites for my “real” (bricks and mortar) businesses since the very beginning of the internet. While those early years were primarily building business-to-business websites, it still involved positioning my company’s products and services in order to generate sales. Over the past 6 years (since 2003) I have been in full-time internet marketing and the delivery of products and services to the consumer markets. Using this experience I can help you build your internet business.
Secondly, since 2008 I have studying the affiliate marketing business model from some of the top super affiliates in the world today. In fact, I have enjoyed this so much I am now spending the majority of my time and effort in building and growing my own affiliate marketing business, especially in the pay-per-click (PPC) arena promoting primarily cost-per-action (CPA) offers. This has become about a $10 billion (yes, with a ‘B’) industry that is growing like wildfire. While I am not qualified yet as a “super-affiliate”, I intend to be one very soon…stay tuned!
Now, that is worth its weight in gold. If you have been in the internet marketing community for any amount of time, you know that it is like a feeding frenzy in this industry. You have some of the best online marketers in the world promoting their products and services to YOU! And, they are very good at it. However, just because they can make you think you cannot live without their product, in many cases you would be better off not buying their products until you know more about the industry and have been around awhile to know what to buy, and from whom… and more importantly what not to waste your money on.
My objective is not to slam other internet marketers, but instead, to help guide and protect others in their pursuit of their own dreams of online success. I have spent a ton of money and will continue to do so in order to help others sort out what they should buy that would be the best value for their specific needs and goals. I will strive to provide clarity where there is all too often confusion and chaos in trying to figure out what you need most at the time for growing your own successful online business.
As I said, I am really focusing on the affiliate marketing arena right now and think I can add a huge amount of help to those who come to this site looking for guidance. I have truly bought a broad range of currently available affiliate marketing training courses, products, and tools and I currently belong to most major affiliate marketing clubs (and as a gold or platinum member if it is offered).
